Oxyde Steel Guitars
Steel guitars • French handmade craftsmanship

RUST IS NOT A FLAW,
IT'S A SIGNATURE.

Steel guitars, handmade in France — starting from €1,950.

Origin

Oxyde Steel Guitars was born from the meeting of two craftsmen whom material and music seemed to have destined for one another. Damien, a trained boilermaker, shapes steel with the rigor and patience of the right gesture — a craft he extends through 3D modelling and precision tools. Vincent, a guitarist and electronics engineer at heart, has always nurtured a passion for lutherie and sonic demand.

They met while teaching, where both shared their craft before choosing to reinvent it together. From that connection came a shared ambition: to design a guitar entirely shaped in steel, at the crossroads of boilermaking and lutherie.

Several months of research, drawings and prototypes were needed to bring this project to life. In June 2025, the first Oxyde guitar was born. In June 2026, Damien founded Oxyde Steel Guitars, a house dedicated to the craft of metal applied to musical instruments.

Finishing

Finishing the guitar

The guitar is sanded, set up, and ready to live.

Steel body

We chose steel where others stay with wood: a raw, demanding material that imposes its own character. It hides nothing, it ages in its own way, and every mark it carries becomes a signature rather than a flaw.

Wooden necks

Against the coldness of steel, the wood of the neck brings the warmth playing needs. Each species is chosen for its feel, stability and response under the fingers, in deliberate contrast with the metal body.

Electronics

Pickups designed to reveal steel's particular tone rather than mask it. Hand wiring, carefully chosen components, for a sound true to the instrument and never standardized.

Finishes

No two guitars come out identical. Oxidation is guided, never fully controlled: in the end, it is what signs the uniqueness of every piece that leaves the workshop.
